The Dual Class system allows players to expand their character’s potential by developing a secondary class alongside their Main Class. It introduces greater flexibility and customization, enabling players to explore different roles, skills, and strategies while enhancing both PvE and PvP gameplay.
Dual Class Unlock
- The Dual Class system becomes available at Lv. 78. Completion of the 3rd Class change is required.
- To add a Dual Class, open the Character Status UI (Alt+T) and select the Dual Class slot.
- Any class can be selected as a Dual Class, except for the same class as your Main Class.
- Your XP will remain capped until you add a Dual Class, preventing further progression. Be sure to add one to continue advancing. Don’t worry, you can switch back to your Main Class right after adding a Dual Class if you prefer.
- The newly added Dual Class will start with the 3rd Class change completed and all skills learned up to Lv. 78 (excluding skills that require Spellbooks or other items).
- Once unlocked, experience is automatically shared between Main and Dual Class, with no additional steps required.
Dual Class Mechanics and Penalties
Where can you use this feature?
- The Dual Class feature can be used not only within Peace Zones but also in most hunting zones throughout the game world.
- Certain exceptions will apply, such as the Olympiad, where Dual Class switching is strictly prohibited to ensure fair competition.
What happens when you switch classes?
Upon switching classes:
- your character will lose all the buffs (except for special buffs) and receive the Identity Crisis debuff. This debuff lasts 5 seconds and temporarily weakens your combat abilities. During this time, you are unable to use most skills and items (potions are excluded), and you cannot change classes again.
- all of your skills will go on cooldown. This means you’ll need to wait for their cooldown timers to finish before you can use them again on the class you switched into.
Can you complete quests and missions while on a Dual Class?
- The following chain quests can be completed by both main and dual classes: Stop the Lizardmen, Reconnaissance in the Western Dragon Valley, Exploring the Cruma Tower’s 3rd Floor.
- Most Weekly, Misc., and Event Missions can be completed by both Main and Dual Class.
- Certain special missions that grant Glory skills have been duplicated and can be completed separately by both Main and Dual Class to obtain these skills on each class.
Quality of Life Improvements
To support the Dual Class feature and ensure smooth transitions between classes, we are introducing an Item Transformation system. This system allows players to adapt their gear and character setup seamlessly, without the need to maintain duplicate equipment sets.
| Topic | Details |
|---|---|
| Equipment Transformation | When you switch classes, your equipped weapons and armor will automatically adjust to match the requirements of the new class. For example, a Duelist will receive Heavy Armor and Dual Swords when switched into. This transformation only occurs when switching from your Main class to your Dual Class. If an item was equipped on your Dual Class, it will not be transformed when switching back to your main class. When playing on your dual class, you can hover over the arrow icon next to a transformed item to see what the original item was transformed into. In addition, you can now select other equipment within the same group by clicking the transformation button located in the upper right corner of each transformed item's icon. |
| Soul Crystal Transformation | Aden / Hardin Crystals will automatically transform according to the class you switch into. For instance, a Magic Skill Critical Rate Lv. 14 crystal will transform into a Physical Skill Critical Rate Lv. 14 crystal when changing to a physical class. This transformation also occurs only when switching from Main to Dual class. So, if your main class is a magic class, insert magic-type Aden / Hardin Crystals. Then, when switching to a physical Dual Class, those crystals will be transformed into the corresponding physical-type ones. Again, on your dual class, you can hover over the arrow icon next to a transformed item to see both the transformed equipment and the converted Soul Crystals. |
| Stats Presets | Your core stats (STR, INT, DEX, WIT, CON, MEN) will be saved separately for your Main and Dual Classes. Upon switching, the system will automatically apply the appropriate stat configuration. |
| Pattern Presets | Each class will have its own saved pattern setup, ensuring that your pattern configurations are preserved and correctly applied when switching between classes. |
| Talents | The talent system will progress separately for your Main and Dual Classes, allowing you to develop and specialize each class independently according to its unique strengths and playstyle. |
| Shortcuts Panel | The Shortcut Panel will also be personalized for each class, so you don’t have to reorganize your skills each time you switch between your Main and Dual Class. |
Unified Dye System
Traditionally, dyes are stat-specific and changing them requires removing the current dye and installing a new one, often at considerable expense. To improve this experience, we have introduced the Stat Dye, which allows you to select the stat you need and switch between different stat configurations with just one click. This system gives players maximum adaptability without the usual hassle or cost.
Class Change (Reroll)
Our server offers a Class Change (Reroll) feature, which is available for both your Main Class and Dual Class from the start of server. This feature allows players to switch to a different class without starting over from scratch.
- Reroll Available for Dual Class:
The reroll option is fully supported not only for your Main Class but also for your Dual Class, giving players maximum flexibility in shaping their characters. - No XP Penalty:
On our server, rerolling your class does not come with any XP penalty. This applies equally to both Main and Dual Classes, making class experimentation more accessible. - Restriction Rules Apply:
Please note that the same class restrictions used when selecting a Dual Class also apply when using the reroll feature. This means you may not reroll into a class that belongs to the same restriction group as your Main or Dual Class.
